Three types of RGB backlighting: halolit, sidelit, and backlit
In addition to the backlight under the switches, there's an insert inside the keyboard that lights up the case from all sides. There are 17 default light effects available, but you can also customize your own with NuPhy Console.
Spacebar with noise suppression
GhostBar is a NuPhy innovation designed for superior spacebar acoustic shaping. The technology involves a silicone insert under the key. It suppresses sound and makes it less hollow without compromising the tactile experience.
Design and Ergonomics
In the design of the V2 we have only doubled down on the investment: the completely redesigned semi-transparent bottom case extends the layer-ness of the Ionic side columns into the third dimension, while the Gem-style nameplate LED brings a fun twist to Halo’s impressive lineup of functional lights. When the lights go on, the bottom case ‘merges’ into the Halo light bands to create the most amazing light effects ever seen on a NuPhy keyboard.
Programmable
NuPhy Console software allows you to change the backlight, reassign keys, change multimedia functions, and create function-like macros. NuPhy Console isn't Mac OS compatible; reconnecting to Windows retains reassigned keys despite default reset on MacOS.
Tri-Mode
The keyboard can be connected via Bluetooth 5.0, a 2.4g adapter, or a USB Type-C cable. Powered by a 4000 mAh battery. It allows for more than 10 hours of wireless use with backlight on without recharging. You can connect up to four devices simultaneously.
Gasket Mount
Mounting style with damper pads, which isolates the PCB and plate from direct contact with the case, providing a softer, quieter typing sound.
Hot-Swap
Special sockets allow the switches to be freely replaced without resoldering. This keyboard will fit any Cherry MX clones compatible with SMD diodes.
Vibration damper
Located between the plate and the PCB in the case, two foams dampen vibrations from pressing. The switch pad will enhance the effect and allow the switches to hold more firmly in the board.
Soundproofing
There are two silicone sound dampening pads inside: in the case + between the PCB and the plate. They absorb sounds and vibrations from pressing and make the typing process quieter. The switch pad enhances the effect and allows the switches to hold more securely.
